A program of additional

classes with in depth

guidance for the keen

ballet student.

The    program    consists    of    6    Sunday    workshops,    that    occur    twice each   term,   plus   one   ‘free’   additional   ballet   class   each   week   of   the Wells School of Dancing term for the year. Students   study   the   Cecchetti   Grade   examinations   along   side   unset work.   Examinations   are   not   guaranteed   each   year   but   those   who have   achieved   the   required   levels   in   the   Grade   examinations   are then    invited    to    represent    the    Wells    School    at    the    Cecchetti Children’s    Classical    Ballet    Awards    and    the    London    Mabel    Ryan Awards   at   Sadlers   Wells   Theatre   in   London.   To   gain   a   place   on   the ‘Aspirations’    program    students    must    attend    the    annual    audition and   be   selected   for   a   one   year   membership.   Students   who   have been   previously   selected   for   this   program   are   not   guaranteed   a place   each   academic   year,   the   students   are   continually   assessed and   will   only   be   accepted   again   if   it   is   deemed   appropriate   for them   to   continue.   Students   who   fail   to   achieve   regular   attendance will be removed from the program.
